Wil Ruggiero is an administrator, art historian and curator based in Chicago.
Wil A. Ruggiero is an administrator, art historian and curator based in Chicago. His research focuses on modern and contemporary art and culture in Latin America, particularly in histories of modernity, the built environment, extractive economies, and urbanization. He has held posts as resident curator at the Chicago Artists Coalition and the Chicago Cultural Center. He curated the work of Greg Bae at the Chicago Urban Art Society and was visiting curator at Chuquimarca, an independent exhibition space. He has presented projects and papers at the College Art Association, the Fabricá de Arte Cubana during the 2015 Havana Biennial, the Hemispheric Institute GSI, and the American Association of Geographers. In 2019 he participated in the Independent Curators International Intensive in New Orleans. He currently works at the cross section of public space, community development, and cultural public practice in Chicago.
